How SKJ Outdoors Used the Ned Palmer Lure to Catch Multiple Smallmouth Bass on the Susquehanna River

The Ned Palmer has become a go-to for smallmouth anglers. SKJ Outdoors is one of them — he took it out on the Susquehanna River and caught smallmouth after smallmouth.

According to SKJ Outdoors, "I gave one to a guy who was bank fishing, he caught his first smallmouth bass. He had been waiting for three hours. And then BOOM! Within 15 mins he crushed it. Best Ned rig I’ve ever used.  " That's the Ned Palmer at work — simple enough that a first-timer can fish it effectively.

The Ned Palmer is a soft plastic that swims and wiggles like a worm or small baitfish, and smallmouth can't resist it. Fish it on a Ned rig — the lure on a jig head, worked slowly along the bottom — and it mimics the natural prey smallmouth feed on.

SKJ Outdoors added, "I’m just so happy to finally have a solid soft plastics company I can trust and count on. They held up so well. Used 2 and lost one right away on a rock. Will be ordering more here soon!"
