The Wacky-Neko Ring is a lead-free, weighted stainless-steel ring for wacky and Neko rigging. Slip it over your soft-plastic worm, run the hook through one of the two slots, and skin-hook the bait — it adds weight, sinks the worm at the right speed, and helps the bait last through more fish than hook-through-plastic rigging. Three rings per pack. $5.99.
Why do I need the Wacky-Neko Ring?
It adds weight to control your wacky worm's sink rate — with a floating worm like the Wacky Alien, it gets the bait sinking at the right speed to get the tentacles moving. On a traditional sinking worm, it adds a little extra speed to stand out from the weightless stick baits bass see all the time. The hook passes through the ring, so your soft plastic survives more casts and more landed fish.
How do I rig it?
Slip the ring over your soft-plastic worm, pass the hook through one of the two slots, and skin-hook the bait. Made for both wacky and Neko rigs.
Which worms fit the ring?
Tested with the WM Bayou Wacky Alien, all lengths of Senko worms, and the deps Kincoo Air. Both weights have a 10 mm (about 0.394 in) inside diameter.
What weights and packs are available?
1/16 oz and 1/8 oz — three rings per pack in the selected weight (not a mix). Hooks not included. Lead-free stainless steel. $5.99 per three-pack.
