Ned rig (1/16–1/8 oz mushroom head, 1/0 short-shank hook — the primary rig), drop shot (nose-hooked, 6–10 inches off bottom), finesse Texas rig (1/16 oz bullet, 1/0 EWG for light cover), or micro jighead (1/32–1/16 oz in clear open water). Fish it on ultralight spinning or a BFS baitcaster with 4–8 lb line — BFS tackle lets you put sub-1/8 oz baits exactly where they need to be.
